W Paul Dmowski, MD, PhD

Born in 1937 in Lodz, Poland, Dr. Dmowski emigrated to the United States and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1988. He holds two doctoral
degrees; an M.D. degree from the Warsaw Academy of Medicine, which he attended between 1955 and 1962, and a Ph.D. degree in Endocrinology from
the School of Graduate Studies, Medical College of Georgia, which he attended between 1967 and 197l. He received his residency training in
obstetrics and gynecology at the Ottawa General Hospital (1962-1964) and at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York (1964-1967). He completed
a Research Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology (1967-1969) under the direction of Professor Robert B. Greenblatt. Dr. Dmowski holds
specialty board certification in obstetrics and gynecology since 1973 and in reproductive endocrinology since 1974.
Dr. Dmowski's academic career began at the University of Chicago where he held faculty appointments as Assistant and later as Associate
Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology between 1971 and 1979. Subsequently, he held a faculty appointment as Professor of Obstetrics
and Gynecology at the University of Arkansas between 1979 and 1981. Since 198l, Dr. Dmowski has been Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush Medical College in Chicago.
Between 1971 and 1988, Dr. Dmowski established and directed Sections of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at three (3)academic
institutions, a Fellowship Training Program in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility, and an In Vitro Fertilization Program. He is
a founder and director of the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Endometriosis and Oak Brook Fertility Center, both located in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Dr. Dmowski is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology. His major
clinical and research interests are in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is especially recognized for his
studies on pathophysiology and management of endometriosis. Dr. Dmowski has authored or co-authored more than 200 publications in the field of reproductive endocrinology.
Dr. Dmowski is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of numerous scientific societies. He is a
frequent guest speaker at national and international meetings, member of editorial boards, and a referee for scientific journals.
