Tricia Ong holds a Master Degree

Tricia Ong holds a Master Degree in Creative Arts Therapy from R.M.I.T. University, Melbourne, Australia. Having worked previously with children in a variety of contexts within the field of human services, including play therapy in a hospital setting, Tricia is now beginning to run some innovative workshops for women with endometriosis. She is passionate about improving support for this group of women, and has a great belief in the efficacy of the arts approach for enhancing their quality of life. In the not-too-distant future, she hopes to embark on further research in this area.

Along with her mother, Tricia has personally experienced endometriosis. She has used the arts – visual art, poetry, writing and singing - to support herself through her medical experiences.

To expand her knowledge of endometriosis from a medical perspective, Tricia has sat in on clinical consultations with a specialist endometriosis gynecologist, and observed laparoscopic surgery with endometriosis patients.

Tricia is a professional member of the Australian Creative Arts Therapy Association. She is beginning to establish a private practice in Melbourne, Australia.
